We have suggested three hotels which you might use for your Edinburgh stay.  These are all in or near Leith, from where each day’s activities will start.  Leith is a bus ride from the centre of Edinburgh.

Premier Inn, Newhaven Place, Leith – link here

A quiet scenic location on the seafront beside the old fishing port of Newhaven, with wonderful views across the Forth Estuary.  About 15-20 minutes walk into Leith with regular bus services.  Free car parking.  Breakfast not included.  The Skylink 200 bus service from the airport passes nearby at Newhaven Harbour.

Holiday Inn Express, Britannia Way, Ocean Drive, Leith – link here

This mid-priced hotel has a noisier and less scenic location than the Premier Inn, offers more services and is closer to the Leith meeting places.  Near to bus routes to Edinbugh city centre.  It is at the terminus of the Skylink 200 bus from the airport, near The Royal Yacht Britannia.

Malmaison, Tower Place, Leith – link here

This four-star “boutique” hotel is in an imposing building overlooking Leith Harbour, rennovated from the former Seamen’s Mission.  Closest to our Leith meeting places. Near to bus routes from the city centre, but not on a convenient airport link.

Please note that these hotels are suggested because of their location.  This is not a recommendation about quality.  If you really want to push the boat out, The Fingal is a five star floating hotel moored at Alexandra Dock, Leith, near Malmaison.

We recommend you view these online in order to make your choice using the links shown against each one above, and also consult the usual review sites.

There are plans that the Edinburgh tram extension to Leith and Newhaven will open in Spring 2023, but whether in time for our event is uncertain.  It will connect the airport and Waverley railway with all three hotels.
