IMCoS has a library of donated books on mapping and related subjects. Most of the 100+ volumes were published after 1980. Besides relevant books, titles include catalogues of collections and special exhibitions and complete sets of the IMCoS Journal and The Map Collector. The library contents are indexed by title and by author.
The loan facilities are currently under review and regrettably
not available at the present time.

How to borrow a Book
A postal loan service is available to members for books that are not too bulky. Borrowers should apply to the Librarian enclosing a cheque, made out of IMCoS, for the correct postage plus 50p for packing. To enable the postage to be calculated the weight of each book in kilograms is given in the index.
Books which are not suitable for posting have a Ø after the title. Any member wishing to borrow one of these should contract the librarian to see if some kind of collection or drop can be arranged.
Loans are for a maximum of six months. However, if a book on loan is requested by another member, a borrower may be requested to return it after one month. In order not to lose track of items the "lending on" of books to other members is not permitted.
