The theme of the Symposium was “The Mapping and Exploration of Norway and the North.” With its speakers from Norway and other countries, the hosting of Norway’s National Library and State Mapping Authority, and visits to museums and other sites (and sights!), the Symposium program provided a wonderful experience of Norway and a fascinating review of its cartographic tradition.
